I've been playing wind instruments for many years, most recently bagpipes and Irish penny whistle. I bought my first Native American Flute in 2007 (drone flute in Am), but didn't really play it very much. I bought my second NA flute in 2013 (forest flute in Gm) and have been enjoying the instrument much more ever since, with the help of "The Art of the Native American Flute" by R. Carlos Nakai. I admit that I am still a bit confused about the fingering of the extended scale, as there seems at times to be several options for the same note. Still, I play along with various artists and teachers I find on line, and manage to work through the fingering. Hoping to learn through sharing on this forum.
