Our first passion is the Native American style flute, an instrument whose sound can only be described as the breath of Spirit. The journeys this instrument has taken us on have led to our making of other unique and beautiful wind instruments such as our own all Australian Outback Sax and bamboo flutes. News - the rains are here! and Tony wins Sunwatch Native Flute Award....

Well all you flute carriers must have been out there playing your flutes and praying for rain, because we have had record levels in the past two months!  How wonderful to have the lushness of green all around us again.  Tony and I have often joked that we need to put an "on/off" switch onto the flutes because sometimes when they are used to bring rain a little too much comes, as seems to be the case with all the flooding about at the moment.  So perhaps we should all give thanks for the rains that have come and mentally 'switch off' the rain making part of our flutes till next we need it!

Coming back from the very muddy Woodford folk festival earlier this year (where we got to catch up with many very passionate flute carriers and discover some new ones too), we were delighted to find that Tony had been awarded a "Native Flute Award of Excellence" from the Sunwatch Flute Gathering in Ohio.  This is a deep and great honour to be recognised from so far abroad by an extremely high calibre of judges.  A copy of the award can be viewed here if you are interested.  As always, we see the making of these instruments as such a blessing and honour that to then be recognised for this work is absolutely incredible.  Thank you again to those who make the commitment in their hearts to bring the beauty of the flute to ever further reaches across the globe.  It is all of you who are making this possible for us.
